Friday 18th March: We've got some testing to do for the system to work for Eyeblaster enabled ads and any ad that's flash versions 8 or 9 is coming out a little heavy from a fileweight POV. Fix expected by Tuesday at latest. Sorry!

Instructions for adding the banner+ad layer:

  1. Use the form to the right to enter the banners client (or organisation) name.
  2. Upload flash banner(s), one at a time.
  3. Click the Process Banner(s) now button.
  4. Wait for processing (approx. 10 sec per banner).
  5. Click to download the package through your browser.
  6. Replace live banners (and test!).



banner+aid works with the following standard flash formats (versions 7, 8 and 9): 300x250, 160x600, 120x600, 728x90, 468x60, 420x600 - PV3D and other complex banner builds may not process. We're working on fixes for these so please either advise of us of problems, or even better help us solve them.

What is banner+aid? Banneraid is a free to share abitlikethis initiative enabling advertisers, marketers, brands and media folk to show support for people, animals and a planet in need. We developed it purely for charities to get a free ride on paid for advertising without compromising the banners it's exists within. Show your support if you're willing by uploading current live or soon to be trafficked advertising and processing it for the current need. We intend to offer a range of charities at some point but for now it's one needy situation at a time.

Nothing will happen to the banner except for the addition of the messaging layer and about 4-8k of file weight. Any questions please email talk@abitlikethis.com.
